Responsibilities

This position is part of the National Network Organization (NNO) team.  The Sr Analyst-Inventory Plng is responsible for successfully managing the tracking of physical and financial assets within the Southlake network equipment center (NEC).

  • Responsible for the enforcement of processes and procedures of Asset Management including the findings that occur from Audits, Internal, FA, SOX or Inventory related.
  • Ensuring inventory policy/procedure compliance at all times.
  • Providing assistance, guidance, support and training for onsite NNO personnel.
  • Regular review of purchasing practices including working with the buyers on issuing purchase orders at a level that will support Inventory and Asset creation.
  • Review, research and approval for pending stock requests.
  • Authorize, process and review of equipment transfers.
  • Actively pursue the reuse of excess equipment throughout the network.
  • Participating in planning of all equipment additions, swaps, upgrades and removals to ensure assets are appropriately accounted for.
  • Coordinating equipment deliveries/pickups at the facility and ensuring necessary scanning is completed.
  • Processing financial retirements/disposals of obsolete decommissioned equipment.
  • Performing regular audits of production and non-production equipment.
  • Participating in maintenance window activities during major installations/deinstallations. 
  • Assist with processing and follow up on all RMA activity. 
  • Ensuring loading docks, spares and staging rooms are clean and free of equipment buildup.
  • Providing weekly and monthly reporting on Southlake activity. 

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years inventory/asset management experience preferred however NEC/data center equipment and environment knowledge/familiarity accepted.
  • Working knowledge of the CATS inventory and/or Peoplesoft purchasing systems.
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Commitment to quality and ability to work well in a team environment required.
  • Must be innovative, energetic, organized and highly detail oriented with an ability to thrive in challenging situations.
  • Must be able to maintain professional relationships with network leadership, network customers, contractors, vendors and warehouse personnel. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, basic principles of Microsoft Access and proficiency with other Microsoft applications.
  • Some travel required (15%).
