Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage team of 5-10 strategic business reps to achieve quota by selling and promoting Verizon Internet, TV and Phone services to small businesses through lead lists, networking, appointment and referral solicitation in an assigned territory.
  • Ensure administration and governance of Verizon Management Performance Management System to achieve results
  • Systematically review and assess an assigned territory and direct sales force to insure that potential business customers are contacted on a prescribed basis.
  • Prepare and execute customer territory sales plans.
  • Maintain required record-keeping and reporting of all sales within an assigned territory.
  • Sales territory will be located within the Florida Region
  • Ensure team demonstrates customer-driven attitude through excellent knowledge of products, services, and rates.
  • Represent Verizon and our services in a professional manner.
  • Products and Services sold would include, but not limited to:
    • FiOS  All Speeds
    • HSI  All speeds
    • FiOS TV
    • Freedom for Business
    • Long Distance Calling Plans
    • Value Added Services – Web Sites/Web Listings, Verizon Internet Security Suite / Verizon Online Backup & Sharing
    • Access Lines
    • Voice Services
    • Regional Bundles/Packages


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales management experience
  • Demonstrated track record of creating detailed territory sales plans and exceeding sales quota
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)  
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work within non-standard business hours to ensure that sales quota is met
  • Transportation Requirements:
    1. A reliable form of personal transportation (Business mileage expenses are reimbursed)
    2. Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record in accordance with Verizon's policies
    3. Auto insurance coverage that satisfies the minimum requirements per State law
  • Physical Requirements:
    1. Frequent to continuous local travel
    2. Frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc
    3. Occasional to frequent walking
    4. Occasional to frequent exposure to outside environment, including inclement weather

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years of outside sales management experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle model
  • Business to business telecommunications sales experience preferred
