Responsibilities

This individual contributor will be part of a small team focused on designing exceptional user experiences for consumer and business services.  Services will primarily be in the connected home or the business communications space.  The user experiences will primarily focus on mobile and web application experience.

This will be a highly intensive role requiring collaboration, strong communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Partner with product management & development to understand business strategy and high-level product requirements
  • Define a signature Verizon UX to apply across Mobile applications/products
  • Define the user experience for the specific product with an eye towards simplicity and differentiation
  • Conduct user groups and studies around UX design, including validation of product designs
  • Define processes to identify and correct gaps in the user experience based upon direct and indirect customer feedback
  • Ensure delivery of the customer experience always maintains the highest levels of functional quality and customer ease-of-use
  • Work with Product Managers during the launch process to develop supporting collateral, demo capabilities, sales team tools and other key supporting user documents/interfaces that will drive uptake and usage
  • Support sales team and customer meetings as required

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree and minimum 1 year experience in User Experience Design (e.g. interaction design, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Industrial Design, CS, or a related field
  • Proven capability and experience in a customer-driven User Experience strategy development, UX Design and Implementation, for applications and devices
  • Excellent communications skills in all modes and media
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Self motivated and driven individuals preferred
  • Business or Consumer communications market product experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of technology and development processes a plus
  • Prior experience using SCRUM or agile development processes a plus
  • Understanding of Consumer and Business Communications products a plus
