We are seeking qualified candidates who are dedicated individuals interested in join us in a rewarding and challenging IT career.  The MTS II-Sys Engrg position will be responsible for the administration of multiple database technologies, supporting development SDLC, and ongoing operations.


  • Supports Application development teams during enterprise and maintenance releases.
  • Helps troubleshoot SDLC issues providing analyses and solutions with problem resolution.
  • Participate in planning meetings with technical leads and development customers.
  • Participates in load test analyses and provides detailed results to development teams.
  • Provides deployment support for multiple database technologies.
  • Ensures lower environment synchronization after production releases.
  • Performs tuning and capacity planning.
  • Participates in large, highly complex Technical projects with direction of senior staff and management.
  • Leads small to medium size projects by performing project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration and scheduling.
  • Is required to write shell script programs used for database management and monitoring.
  • Proactively monitors systems for I/O sub-system performance, transaction performance, lock contention, and provides daily health checks.
  • Resolves system issues and defects, respond to escalations as part of 24x7 on-call rotation, and will back up technical leads when needed.
  • Install and test new versions of multiple database management systems and software
  • Maintain data security standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation
  • Control access permissions and privileges
  • Assist to develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
  • Monitor and manage back-up and recovery procedures
  • Work closely with IT project managers and developers
  • Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff
  • Prepare presentations and present them to development, technical support teams, and leadership teams
  • Partner with non wireless organizations for support and analyses
  • Helps maintain new customer integration into database systems

Evaluates options for meeting user needs, and ensures that system requirements are identified, prioritized and incorporated in an effective, efficient


 Bachelors degree in IT or related discipline preferred. Associates degree required.

  • Minimum 2 years management with Java Directory database management
  • Minimum 2 years management - Oracle RDBMS
  • Any experience with UnBoundID Directory Server products
  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • OCP certification is recommended.
  • Must have in-depth understanding of databases administration for Web-based application architectures
  • OS level scripting experience
  • In-depth use and understanding of Unix and Linux operating systems
  • Experience developing shell scripting
  • Must have the basic understanding SDLC phases, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
  • Must have a basic understanding of computing software, hardware and networking infrastructure
  • Teamwork & collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
