Responsibilities

Description

The Project Manager in Supply Chain Quality team applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure successful completion. This role has end to end responsibility for all assigned projects within Supply Chain leading to improved process efficiency, quality, customer experience, shareholder value.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback
  • Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives, business case (as needed)
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives/lessons learned, demos and other agile project related meetings
  • Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and business goals
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to management
  • Follow Verizon policies, procedures and methodologies
  • Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional organizations, vendors and internal team to maintain thorough knowledge of project capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between stakeholders are precise
  • Maintain schedule, progress and target dates in Microsoft Project
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Document Control – As Project Manager, you will be Document Control Manager responsible for organizing documents into an easy to use and fast retrieval system.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualification

BS in engineering is highly preferred

  • At least 3 years experience, actively involved in Supply Chain Re-engineering, Continuous Improvement and/or Project Management Proven ability to manage to deadlines
  • Experience with Quality Standards like TL9000, IS9000 or similar required
  • Proficient at managing multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience interacting with and influencing business partners at all levels
  • Proficient in business process mapping and flow diagramming
  • Exceptional time management skills and has great attention to detail
  • Demonstrable industry experience of successfully delivering & managing process improvement projects (must be prepared to discuss specifics and provide references)
  • Wireless industry experience preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Able to travel when required
  • Bachelors Degree in Business and/or advanced degree preferred, MBA a plus
