Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Serve as an engineering, technical and business process expert across the global solutions portfolio of Enterprise Solutions to Senior Level IT and business executives of the customer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corp. objectives
  • Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives
  • Support development of business drivers, business case and high level program implementation plan
  • Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
  • Develop conceptual solution architecture using combination of standard products and third party suppliers to produce end to end customer solution
  • Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executive
  • Partner with specific product specialists to identify and collect detailed technical requirements
  • Partner with bid management organization to build out detailed RFP responses and contract development
  • Coordinate efforts across support/product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solution
  • Work with the account teams as the lead subject matter expert to develop solutions and recommend services to meet customer’s business requirements. 
  • Base understanding in network design and convergence, including routing/switching, cloud, mobility, and M2M with focus on security, resiliency, availability, and latency
  • Possess strong presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations with customers and to tailor content to audience as appropriate – to include ROI/TCO and the demonstration of financial value.
  • Share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers and build prospective opportunities
  • Possess solid understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition of company solutions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent experience.  MBA or Graduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a customer/client facing technical role (Pre/Post Sales, Sales Engineering, Consulting Engineer, Solutions Architect, Service Delivery Architect, Product Manager, etc.) with a fiscal responsibility.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of IT and/or managed telecom solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with accountability for end to end delivery.
  • Architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT and/or telecom based products and service with verifiable instances of implementing one or more of the following:
    • Managed Security Solutions (PREFERRED)
    • Data Center Services (PREFERRED)
    • Cloud Services (PREFERRED)
    • Data and IP Services (MPLS, VoIP, VPN, IP PBX)
    • Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, CDN, Managed IP PBX)
    • Call Center Technologies (ACD, IVR, Customer Portal)

 

  • Current and valid industry certifications in one or more of the following preferred…
    • Cisco:  CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCVP, CCIE, etc…
    • Microsoft, Tandberg, and/or Polycom
    • CISSP
    • TOGAF
    • ITIL
