At Verizon, we are looking for a HR Professional to provide administrative and operational support such as employee p-file management, verification of employment, records requests, special projects etc.  This is an exciting, Hong Kong-based role that will see you taking charge of processes across multiple key APAC countries.

Verify, process and input activity mainly for India, Singapore and ASEAN countries within established time and quality standards to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Process customer transactions within established time and quality standards
  • Responsible for customer enquiries through tickets, phone calls and email
  • Provide support during Audit / SOX activities
  • Confirm data accuracy and maintain appropriate controls for audit verification
  • Receive, review and process Leave of Absence requests
  • Receive and process forms for H&W (health and welfare) Benefit related enrollment/changes/termination
  • Point of contact for India Provident Fund enquiries for current employees and leavers.  Work closely with PF vendors and Payroll to ensure issues are tracked and resolved within an agreeable timeframe.
  • Provide operational support for HR processes such as recruiting, background investigation, onboarding, termination, compensation change, org management, expatriates, country transfer, etc.
  • Work with Government bodies for tax, provident fund and employment pass related matters
  • Possess knowledge of legislative and employment laws for India, Singapore and ASEAN countries
  • Monitor and maintain various HR tools and systems, such as PeopleSoft, VzCareers, eITS, Content Management Tool, etc.
  • APAC country specific benefits program verification, claims processing and vendor billing (e.g. premiums reconciliation, pension, medical, life Insurance, etc.)
  • Participate in special projects as well as other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HR Live management
  • Develop content of Knowledge Base – document at least one article per month
  • Understand sensitivity of employee information and maintain employee confidentiality
  • Provide support to other team members and assist in special projects as assigned
  • Identify and recommend routine improvements to operating efficiency and productivity.  Advise Management of opportunities to modify existing processes
  • Openly share relevant business experience and expertise with other team members



  • Degree with Post graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing and high pressure work environment.  Always act in a sense of urgency.
  • Has knowledge of defined HR and operational processes required for the job and applies that expertise to daily tasks. 
  • Has relevant HR experience preferably 1 – 3 years. 
  • Comfortable with working in a Customer Service Center environment, preferably with Service Center experience. 
  • Strong customer orientation by putting customer to first
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)  and general computer applications.
