Credit Policy Specialist - Financial Operations

The specialist will assess and mitigate the risk of retail projects to insure compliance with the corporation credit policy, federal laws and regulations by participating in all projects affecting the Credit teams. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the facilitation of the project requirements, goals and deliverables. This consultant organizes the UAT testing, prepares test cases/scenarios and processes these cases according to the client's requirements. The consultant will facilitate communications and/or meetings with the process teams to make sure the project content is understood and can be documented into training documents. The position interfaces with Credit and Internet Order team totaling more than 500 agents, area leadership teams, plus various other teams at all levels as it pertains to new projects and initiatives. This position will be required to work extended hours and weekends during monthly project releases.
Serves as owner of Credit Projects accountable for the definition, scope, goals and deliverables. This ownership role is end to end in nature from inception through implementation.

  • Provides detailed business requirements for inclusion in the RT /BRD process. Solicits feedback from key clients on business requirements and makes decision on which requirements are included.
  • Provides direction and support to Project Team and removes hurdles as necessary
  • Constantly monitors and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Attends Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and provides IT with detailed business requirement clarifications
  • Participates in all required meetings to gain additional requirement knowledge, confirm current state of project and stay apprised of any changes being made.
  • Facilitates communications and/or meetings as needed to ensure all information has been received, content understood and any additional information needed has been provided.
  • Develops, executes, validates and documents thorough and accurate test scenarios and processes according to the client's requirements, utilizing detailed business requirement documentation gathered and feedback from the business owners.
  • Provides go/no go decisions on if a project can go live
  • Works with the clients and IT to identify the appropriate data needed for testing and ensure information is provided within timeframe of testing milestones.
  • Documents test outcomes in a timely manner and ensure all dashboards and individual tracking mechanisms related to all testing are up to date with the latest status.
  • Trains UAT testers on their roles and responsibilities of an Acceptance Tester, as well as the processes and techniques involved in delivering User Acceptance Testing.
  • Directs a team of Testers and guides them through pre-production code deployment and regression testing
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends during project releases.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Employees/Candidates with professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) are preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel; strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry preferred, but not required.
  • Project Management.
