Responsibilities

Understand technological and financial aspects of cloud computing, colocation and Managed hosting. Able to effectively evaluate competitive offerings relative to Verizon offerings

Develop an in-depth understanding of how cloud products are used (use case analysis), and be able to effectively compare disparate technological and pricing approaches on an apples:apples basis

Develop an understanding of market reach and potential to Verizon products in the broader computing marketplace

Work with consulting firms to develop and deliver custom studies aiding in improving pricing and go to market strategies for computing products

Work extensively with product marketing to…

  • Integrate price with overall go to market strategy
  • Participate in and develop ongoing strategy based on competitive movement
  • Understand pricing and market strategy by various enterprise sales channels
  • Develop pricing and rational around marketplace, PaaS, and other related services

Work extensively with finance group to

  • Communicate pricing rationale and gain approval through CFO
  • Understand impact of price changes to business case
  • Develop margin impact assessment of price shifts

Able to create multiple pricing strategies that are effective across many different sales channels including Government, Retail, resellers, SMB, referrals, VARs

Qualifications

Minimum 4 year undergraduate degree in Finance, Marketing, and/or Business Administration. MBA is preferred

Strong oral and written skills. Applicant must be able to define, create and present pricing strategies, results and analysis to C level executives.

Very proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

5 years minimum experience in computing industries with strong working knowledge of Cloud IaaS / PaaS / DBaaS / SaaS.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of product pricing responsibility.

Prior work experience must demonstrate experience in product marketing for cloud & computing services; pricing and financial modeling; and demonstrate ability to work in a fluid environment embracing constant change and disruption.
