Lead a team of highly capable individuals responsible for Layer 1 submarine cable Design and Engineering in the Asia Pacific region. Lead the team in monitoring, managing and reporting submarine cable assets, backhaul and equipment in the Asia Pacific region to include supporting non-standard Product requests requiring detailed, complex network solutions. Pro-active monitoring of the global network to ensure adequate assets are available to support the multi-year Asia Pacific expansion plan(s) as well as restoration efforts in the event of a submarine cable outage. Cross organization coordination to ensure 12-18 month network requirements are communicated and executed to achieve annual network growth. Develop, publish and manage annual Capital Budget to support Layer 1 network growth in the Asia Pacific region. Responsibilities also include annual Telco Line Cost audit and management as well as responsibility for Telco Line Cost approvals to support network growth. Manage vendor relationships supporting Layer 1 submarine assets, associated backhaul and equipment to ensure Finance has accurate costs to develop cost models. Manage and schedule multiple projects, balance workload of Engineers on team and effectively coordinate with Planning, Operations, Product and Program Management organizations. Oversee reporting to ensure timeliness and accuracy.



College Degree preferred and 7-10 years of experience with focus in the areas of Telecom Engineering, Capacity Management and Network Design is required. Leader, self-starter with strong management and organizational skills sought. Must be highly organized and must be able to manage multiple projects to successful completion. Solid understanding of transmission technologies, networks and process, equipment designs and configuration procedures is a plus. Strong technical and project management capabilities as well as excellent PC and software application skills including Windows and MS Office needed. Experience with preparing content for executive level communications is a must. Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications are a must. Limited travel will be required.
