Verizon is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to lead and coordinate the development of complex communications and IT solutions for the Federal Government.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant telecom/IT engineering experience, and three years of customer facing sales experience in the telecom/IT industry; will consider junior/mid-level candidates with a strong record of academic achievement.
  • Experience developing and selling one or more of the following solutions:
    • Managed Services (network, security, IT)
    • Contact Center Services
    • Unified Communications
    • Data Center Services
    • Security Services
    • Application Development
    • Green Building Technologies/Infrastructure
  • Provide proven examples of customer facing sales presentations and/or documents you have authored.
  • Candidates with relevant industry certifications in networking, security, and/or IT are preferred if coupled with solid experience.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following.
    • NIST 800
    • IT Service Delivery - Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified
    • IT Project Management - PMP certified
    • Systems Engineering
    • Federal Enterprise Architecture
  • Ability to pass a Federal Government background investigation (Public Trust or equivalent) upon Agency request.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, and have a record of accomplishment working directly with customers and support organizations in time-critical situations.
