We are building software development expertise in the area of Cloud Computing and are enhancing our existing cloud delivery platform with exciting new technologies to build the premiere platform and architecture for the next decade. You will work in a fast paced agile development environment.

 

Verizon is looking for highly skilled engineers with knowledge and experience of telecommunication systems and Network Processor Units (NPUs). It is important that you have a profound understanding of network solutions from a hardware, software, and systems perspective, and that you have worked in similar roles for a minimum of 10 years.

Qualifications

- BSCS or BSEE preferred

- 10+ years of experience

- Deep knowledge of switch and router systems and communications protocols such as Ethernet, IP, TCP, VLANs, and MPLS
- Experience with NPU based systems
- Experience with network design analysis

- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem recognition and resolution skills

- Ability to design, implement and document software

- The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Desired Skills:

- MSCS or MSEE preferred and 10 years of experience.

- Blade computing experience

- Experience with Marvell chipset
- Networking experience to include some of the following: Firewalls, Load Balancers, PXE, DHCP, DNS, Virtual Routers, VRRP, BGP, VPNs

- A proven track record of technical leadership over the life cycle of product development.
