Responsibilities

The position is responsible for the overall quality and integrity of the Verizon Capital Group’s (VCG) affiliate vendor finance account servicing by ensuring standards are adhered to and appropriate policies and procedures are enforced.

The position manages and/or leads the review, negotiation or resolution of large and sometimes complex customer service, balance sheet assets/exposures or end-of-lease issues.

Plays a leading role in improving processes between VCG and the VZ affiliates supported by VCG.

Develops structures and strategies to maximize end-of-lease income to attain income objective.

Serves as primary contact and support for outside vendors and for third-party funding sources/programs.

Proactively manages all litigation, bankruptcies, contract modifications and restructures.

Serves as a subject matter expert by providing direction to employees within VCG to ensure goals and objectives as well as company policies and procedures are met.

Provides ongoing training to staff on both VCG and VZ products, programs and services.   Provide leadership by (a) being a proactive and assertive contributor; (b) exercising sound judgment, good teamwork and interpersonal skills, and respect for colleagues at all times; and (c) being a positive management role model and supportive leader within VCG.

Provides direct management to the team by setting objectives, providing ongoing employee feedback, promoting strong performance and proactively managing.  May motivate and train staff to maximize productivity and promote their professional development in a manner consistent with VZ

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, related field or equivalent experience required
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • 6+ years financial analysis and/or lease experience required
  • Leasing financial analysis experience or extensive knowledge and understanding of Leasing industry trends and key business drivers preferred
  • Knowledgeable about financial concepts and valuation modeling
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Knowledgeable of telecommunications competitive environment for carriers, markets, networks and services
  • Good problem solving skills and superior negotiating skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
