The Platform Design Team is looking for a RF Wireless Design Engineer to assist in the design of consumer electronic products, proof of concepts (POCs), and other hardware associated with Verizon’s OnCue product development. The candidate will work with other hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and other development team members in various capacities to achieve program goals and objectives.

Behavioral skills essential for success in this position include effective written and verbal communication.

Specific responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining and developing RF subsystems including circuitry and antenna designs for 100s MHz to 10s GHz bands

Other activities might include investigating architectural options for existing platforms, working with external silicon vendors to investigate new architectures, investigating bill of material (BOM) costing, weighing trade-offs on platform implementations, and developing detailed implementation specifications. 


BS in Electrical Engineering preferred, with an emphasis on RF design

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with high-volume product design and development, with an emphasis on RF design
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with consumer electronic product signal noise abatement and design for EMI control
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Cadence tools
  • 2+ years’ experience with design of consumer electronics products
  • Experience with high-speed signal design
  • Experience with mixed-signal design
