Verizon has challenging opportunities for an integration/testing engineer. This engineer will be the team member integrating and testing solutions involving various security, engineering, IT and monitoring features. Incumbent will be responsible to develop integration and testing procedures for a variety of network equipment and IT systems. Work with Security, Engineering, IT and NOC to understand and implement all necessary design features. Develop acceptance criteria while contributing to documentation that identifies procedures and results. Track, conduct and manage tests for all new and modified designs including, but not limited to, feature enhancements and/or code upgrades. Perform all user acceptance testing for new and modified equipment, software or services. Evaluate all new and modified equipment, software and services for compliance to the specific security requirements. Support, manage and maintain integration test and user acceptance test environments, including support of the code/configuration/migration management tools (installing the tool, applying the patches). Create processes to identify tasks that could create conflicts during integration or testing. Conduct infrastructure defect triage meetings to identify the root cause of any issues related to integration and acceptance testing. Resolve/correct infrastructure defects found as a result of any testing efforts that include the infrastructure. Develop test-to-production infrastructure turnover requirements.


Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with focus on Software, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Network Technology.   7-10+ years Systems Integration and test experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in testing IT Systems, experience with scripting languages, experiences with test automation software, experience testing software written in C++ or Java, experience with Red Hat Linux environment, ability to participate in problem-solving and in the defect resolution process, ability to work individually and in teams, strong communication skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, strong organizational skills, ability to decipher highly technical data and the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing work environment.
