The Contract Manager – Public Sector is responsible for all aspects of contract administration for Public Sector customers (state, local and/or federal) and is expected to fulfill a variety of functions including the following:

  • Manage the negotiation and administration of numerous complex Public Sector contracts simultaneously, including product/service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work and ancillary legal documents ensuring contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions
  • Primary interface between the Business and Legal and external customers regarding business and legal issues arising from Public Sector customer agreements
  • Interact with various functional groups within Networkfleet and Verizon such as, technical staff, sales, marketing, pricing, billing and procurement as it relates to contract administration and to assure approvals and accurate information is obtained in a timely manner
  • Ensure internal contractual compliance with the terms and conditions of Public Sector contracts, compliance with designated management objectives and compliance with the company’s policies and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Manage all existing and source new cooperative purchasing agreements (NJPA, GSA, H-GAC, etc.) in support of the Public Sector space
  • Work closely with Billing to ensure compliance with billing requirements
  • Work closely with the Proposal Manager in supporting the preparation of complex sales bids and proposals for prospects in the Public Sector space
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices
  • Support special projects on behalf of the Contract Management department as directed
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with external customers, business and legal personnel, internal approval groups and customers, and ensure that the internal and external customers’ contract management needs are satisfied.


  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic performance required
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent (at least within the last 3 years) relevant contract management work experience supporting the Public Sector (state, local and/or federal)
  • CFCM, CPCM and/or CCCM certification
  • Excellent skills in working within a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal groups to efficiently achieve common goals
  • Ability to rapidly assess potential risks, benefits and consequences of business decisions and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Management and organizational skills needed to closely manage multiple transactions and complex deals simultaneously
  • Independent initiative to develop, lead and implement special projects that enhance inter-affiliate and business-to-business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, Word).
  • Working knowledge of the telematics industry is preferred.
