Specialty III Network Engineer & Operations - Maryland area, this position is responsible for the day-to-day Vendor Management. Specific duties include:

  • Schedule and Conduct site surveys with vendors
  • Review vendor job specs for accuracy of work steps, materials, assignments and database / drawing updates
  • Monitor Job Tracking and update/actualize job milestone dates as needed in CCP (vBuild)
  • Act as vendor interface for installation roadblocks and problem issues
  • Schedule and Conduct Method of Procedure (MOP) meetings with vendors
  • Schedule and Conduct End of Job (EOJ) meetings with vendors
  • Interface with Verizon Vendor Quality as needed
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis of un-planned service outages associated with active vendor work
  • Input/resolve PANs on behalf of vendors for issues caused by someone other than vendor arise which could cause Cons Comp date to be missed
  • Enforce Verizon Quality and safety standards with vendors
  • Ensure vendors correct all job exceptions found during EOJ within time allowed per IP72202
  • Monitor vendor job installations
  • Ensure vendors submit timely Comp Notices and request EOJ’s within 72 hours
  • Complete EOJ Checklist in CCP listing all vendor job deviations found
  • Input timely job notes/updates in CCR Job Remarks
  • Process NQT vendor work exceptions
  • Assist Verizon Business Installation and Test supervisors when possible


  • Understanding of Verizon quality documents including IP72202 (latest version)
  • Willingness to travel throughout the mid-Atlantic to perform site surveys, MOP meetings and EOJ walkthroughs with vendors
  • Experience working with Turf Vendors
  • Knowledge of CCP/vBuild
