Job Summary

The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for total project accountability and will be required to plan & direct all aspects of projects including information gathering, project timeliness & milestones, budgets, risk management, external department collaboration, reporting, presentations, training on new processes, etc. Experience with the Scrum/Agile project management methodology a must.

Specific Duties include but not limited to:

  • Planning and directing all aspects of projects undertaken by the Engineering department, including project timelines, milestones, project tracking and issue reporting.
  • Managing all aspects of the Agile product development process, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning and Task Breakouts, and continue to evolve the Agile/Scrum process within the team
  • Communicating and collaborating with external departments on product launches and issues, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Training and Customer Care
  • Producing reports, presentations and other documentation for departmental projects for the purpose of reporting status to Stakeholders
  • Responsible and accountable for managing all hardware schedules and projects
  • Capture, track, monitor and project manage all tasks related to hardware engineering projects including but not limited to Firmware Development, Systems Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering
  • Create and manage the firmware & test automation schedule





  • Experience with the Scrum/Agile project management methodology a must. Project management experience, process flow documentation, Scrum/Agile project mangment tools, all microsoft office applications (word, excel, project, powerpoint, visio). Total project accountability experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Prefer knowledge / experience in telematics and/or telecom and/or automobile industry.
  • Bachelors Degree required. Prefer degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical). Project Management certificatin (Scrum Master, PMP or PMI cert) also preferred.
  • A wide degree of creativity and forward thinking is expected.
  • Must be effective and efficient in a fast-paced environment .
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project and business management principles, methods, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies.
  • Ability to proactively interact with various functional groups and work independently in high-pressure situations.
