Reporting to the Sr. Manager Direct Marketing, the Direct Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering pre-launch planning for B2B acquisition loyalty and retention campaigns; researching, selecting, and refining list rationales, list selections and segmentation for prospecting campaigns; Direct Response Marketing (DRM) test and learn plans, performance metrics and reporting analytics for B2B program.


Working with the Sr. Manager Direct Marketing, the Direct Marketing Manager will serve as a key contributor to the development of DRM strategy and tactics for direct mail, email and other DRM vehicles; including customer targeting, data segmentation set-up, review and QA, contact cadence, post production follow-up and campaign reporting with the goal to maximize customer engagement leading to increased response and profitability. 


The Direct Marketing Manager will continually identify, propose and execute design tests that support key hypotheses and deliver actionable learnings that contribute to B2B program’s business growth. S/he will create testing priorities, test plans and testing roadmap as well as monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new initiatives; assess results and continuously refine plans to ensure on-going optimization of creative, messaging, offer, contact cadence and timing of tactics.


The Direct Marketing Manager will analyze program results to gain insights into successes, failures, and performance trend; react to opportunities and make appropriate recommnedations and course corrections, as needed.  S/he will develop performance deck slides and partner presentation slides to present findings.


The Direct Marketing Manager position requires an individual with proven problem-solving / issue resolution skills and the ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside of the immediate team to achieve desired business results.






  • Develop and manage DRM pre-launch plans based on DRM strategies.  Create/maintain DRM plans for DRM initiatives, including test and learn plans, planning for B2B acquisition, loyalty and retention campaigns; researching and refining list rationales, list selections and segmentation, including list sourcing for prospecting campaigns and oversee projects to completion within defined timelines. Provide business process documentation related to devised B2B plans and strategies.
  • Design DRM tactics based on established champions and campaign analytic findings that generate qualified leads to the SCC and increase subscriptions; prepare well-written associated marketing briefs creative briefs and analytic requests for B2B program.
  • Perform data analytics, present campaign statistics, identify trends, issues and opportunities related to DRM campaigns and offer recommendations to Sr. Manager Direct Marketing.
  • Provide reporting analytics and campaign forecasts and clearly communicate DRM tactics and results to Marketing team.
  • Perform DRM data forensics (DDR, RDR, OBIEE SIEBEL and other systems), ad hoc issue resolution and special project management.
  • Will analyze any issues related to campaign segment creation and suppression.
  • Will analyze campaign results and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Will be the DRM campaign design lead and will work under minimal supervision and general guidance in fulfilling the project objectives and deliverables.


·         BS/BA degree

·         8-10 years experience with hands on multi-vehicle and multi-channel (online/offline) DRM experience as a manager and working across internal departments and maintaining external vendor relationships. 

·         8-10 years experience in planning, execution, and analysis of direct response marketing programs. 

·         Strong DRM production and project management experience.

·         Superior written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated experience in writing comprehensive marketing and creative briefs, and developing Power Point presentations.

·         Demonstrated experience of strong analytics, reporting and strategic thinking skills.

·         Experience requesting and working with marketing segmentation and suppression files. 

·         Results-driven, action oriented individual with the ability to act intuitively, while following established strategy.

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize in an evolving, high performance fast-paced environment.

·         Highly self-motivated, organized and professional with the ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside of the immediate team to achieve desired business results.
