Responsibilities

General Summary

The Project Manager (PM) manages people, groups and vendors for all Small Cell & In-Building Systems (IBS) in WPA & WV. The PM uses the defined scope, objectives and milestones to develop the communications plan, identify risks, and gather the Project Stakeholders (teams) needed for project completion. The PM will monitor and manage all associated teams and resources in order to meet the project targets. They are responsible for identifying any issues and getting the correct groups involved for resolution. They are also expected to provide regular feedback/reporting to the leadership teams.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

1. Planning and Creating a Work Breakdown Structure for Small Cell and IBS implementation – Responsible for taking a larger project with an end goal and breaking this down into smaller parts and working with the Regional Leadership team to develop milestones and associated dates for overall success of project. This also includes determining the overall needs of the projects determining project flow and order.

2. Communications - Responsible for holding regular scheduled meetings to review project status and gather updates. This person is also responsible for identifying issues and gathering the correct teams together, both internal and external for resolution and communicating these same issues and status to the Leadership team.

3. Management – This person will have the responsibilities of managing not only each of the projects that they are accountable for but also managing the teams and individuals that are required to contribute for the overall success of the project. The management that is required is for setting deadlines on required information and follow up, working with the teams or the group’s manager for any missed goals or required escalation.

4. Reporting – This person is also asked to provide input to reports not only for directly tracking status of each projects but also summarizing this information for their projects along with other team members for reporting in Quarterly reviews, Plan of Records, and Project updates with HQ and Area.

5. Project Lead – This person will often be called upon to be a lead resource to work with either Area or HQ teams on providing feedback and status on projects for reporting that is rolled up at an Area level. They will also be a technical resource to provide issues or concerns overall with vendors, hardware, services or processes on special projects or new processes tools that are rolling out that support build plan process or corporate reporting.

Qualifications

• BS degree in related discipline and 3+ years of experience

Overall knowledge of the Wireless Network
• Experience and Knowledge with Switching, Transport, Equipment, and RF
• Knowledge of the build process– Regulatory, Billing, Service Modification, Site Modifications, Translations, E911, Provisioning, Real Estate
• Project Management skills and tools such as Gantt Charts, Setting Milestones, critical paths, planning cycles.
