This position is responsible for the regional/area revenue assurance function to ensure that revenues are properly billed in the through bill verification and cycle approval.  The incumbent maintains the integrity of the billing system while promotions and new products are being implemented and ensures continued accuracy of the implementation.  The Analyst performs tests to monitor the integrity of the revenue stream, apprising supervisor of issues as necessary.

Performs regular testing to ensure new programs/system enhancements are adequately tested to minimize material impacts to the revenue stream.  Independently identifies and communicates system and/or process problems and quantifies potential or actual dollar impacts; supports the system owner through the problem’s resolution.  Follows up on all outstanding issues in accordance with the problem’s priority level.

Performs periodic system and compliance audits of the network, billing and/or financial systems.  Makes recommendations, resolves billing discrepancies and works with other departments to implement. 

Compiles data and performs data analysis procedures aimed at ensuring network through billing system integrity.

Supports the design of effective tests to monitor the impact of changes to the network and billing systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience required.
  • Prior systems audit experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to differentiate trends and relationships from a base of complex information, relate and compare data from different sources and identify cause and effect relationships.
  • Function as an expert in the technical functions of billing/customer management and network signal generation systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex and/or technical information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization using tact, common courtesy, persuasion, and discretion to effectively achieve objectives.
  • SQL or other querying experience.  Experience in PC related applications such as Excel, Access, and Word. 
  • Possess a basic understanding of financial systems and the ability to partner with Finance to ensure integrity of related financial reports and analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
