Responsible for managing credit, collection and claims activities for an established portfolio of VzB Wholesale customers with monthly billing ranging from $1,000 to $1M+. The successful candidate must be able to work in multiple systems, communicate directly with external customers at various executive levels, analyze and validate billing dispute information, ensure past due receivables are collected timely to improve company cash flow and understand corporate financial statements to detect creditworthiness issues to reduce bad debt. Must be able to negotiate payment and billing dispute issues with customers based upon strong, factual business cases.
Provides financial reporting for upper management.
Responsible to handle any journal entries required ensuring accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley.
Candidate must possess Bachelors Degree in a Business related field, preferable with Finance emphasis. Prior experience in telecom, collections and/or billing is a plus. Strong communication skills are a must.
Must have a high level of expertise with MS Office products, in particular Excel and Word. The candidate must also be able to learn how to work in multiple Verizon A/R and Billing systems.
