Responsibilities

As a member of the engineering team, lead architecture, design and technology road map for strategic initiatives. Some of these initiatives (but not limited to) are Big Data for Omnicare, Biometrics, Outbound, Speech Services, Cross Channel Continuous Experiences and Social Media Care. Incumbent will also follow
industry technology trends, identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to resolve business needs and advise senior management of these opportunities. Incumbent will lead the transition into the regular Software Life Cycle of any of these new technologies deployed.

End-to-End Systems Analysis and Design
• Analyze architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs
• Guide others to assess system usage trends and identify potential performance constraints with inter-system designs
• Evaluate solution’s alignment with the end user experience

Software/ Application Development & Architecture
• Use complex algorithms to develop systems & applications that deliver business functions or architectural components
• Develop system architecture that improve designs & mapping form to function
• Educate team members about integrating systems collaboratively & efficiently


Technical Communication
• Communicate the business value of technical solutions
• Discover mutually beneficial solutions across customers while recognizing different styles

Qualifications

Experience with the following:

-Lead designs of advanced system and application architecture based on complex business requirements at the enterprise level. Systems and applications are used to provide functionality to cross functional business units, with diverse business needs.

-Provide technical leadership in a large, multi-platform and highly network computing environment.

-Regularly leads complex efforts and provides technical leadership to staff members to resolve a business problem.

-Broad knowledge of technology trends and business use case associated with such technologies.

-Executive presentation to Director/VP level and above, articulating technologies functionality and road map, bridging the gap between technical features and business value.

-Leading large cross IT and business working teams, with team members of diverse experience level, diverse background and diverse locations.

-Developing partnership and consensus with cross function teams and management.

-Quickly grasp new technologies concepts and champion concept of these new technologies to
organizations, enabling cross teams to gain knowledge.

-Bridge gap between new technologies, associated use cases and business competitive advantages.

-Change agent, influencing adoption of new technologies across the organization.

-Lead evaluation of technology products and manage technology vendor.

5+years of hands on experience in Big Data, Service Oriented Architecture and Web technologies

5+ years of practical experience with Web Services, J2EE, MQ, JMS, Websphere

5+ years knowledge of PLSQL, Shell Script and Web Development

5+ years of hands on experience in DB structured SQL technologies and No SQL technologies understanding

3+ years understanding of Telecom, Telephony environment and Social Media

5+ years conceptual knowledge of data networking, TCP/IP and SIP

5+ years experience in a highly available, critical systems and networking environment

Knowledge of diverse Operating system (UNIX Solaris, Linux and Windows, etc.) and programming languages (Java, C++, C#, etc.)

Ability to lead evaluation of technologies and platforms

Ability to lead and mentor technical and non technical individual contributors

Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

Effective communication skills

BS/MS in Software Engineering or equivalent
