Manage and Engineer all aspects of In Building, Small Cell, DAS, Venue and Head End system design through completion of project. To Include drawing review, taking into account civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical feasibility, value engineering, zoning, Phase 1 & 2 environmental certification, signoff and change orders and financials.
Manages construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects including; RFQ or RFP process, Contract process, Sealed bid , Distributing bid packages, Coordinating bid walk, Awarding project, Monitoring progress, Providing regular status updates and resolve issues with Landlords.
Provide complete ownership of project financials, from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including project budget funding, adherence to budget spending, creation & tracking purchase orders, and inspecting work performed by contractors
Provide solid team leadership and direction through practicing Core Values including: creating and evaluating ways to gain financial efficiencies; creating process improvements. Securing assets and being accountable for vendor payments. Manage and guide field engineers day to day.
Provide accurate and concise communications and have strong ability to express and explain issues clearly, providing updates, and maintaining records, working with other departments, and understanding the impact of all department tasks for overall success of a project.
Establishes quality assurance methods, procedures, standards, statements of work, and technical training related to site design and construction. Evaluates new products, services, and vendors. Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, compatibility, and ease of use, reliability, and timing parameters.
Interfaces and resolve day to day issues with internal and external departments as well as regulatory agencies by interacting with municipal agencies in the pursuit of building permits, construction inspections, and by finally obtaining certificates of occupancy for network facilities.
Provide day to day technical support and leadership for individuals within the Special Projects team.
Maintain Budget accounting for projects
Proficiency in the following platforms and/ or technologies:
Construction Management Skills including: AutoCAD /design review, Implementation, HVAC, Emergency generators, National Electrical Code requirements, Environmental
Requirements including hazardous material, spill prevention, and other regulatory guidelines, general building maintenance, vendor maintenance and project management and financial management.
Power skills: DC power systems, AC UPS systems, and corresponding distribution systems troubleshooting
In depth knowledge of Cell site design, Engineering, Construction and Operations. Expert knowledge of In Building, Small Cell, DAS, Venue and Head End system design
Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
Solid & proven troubleshooting skills
Solid & proven problem solving abilities
Solid & proven Project Management skills
Strong analytic, interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to embrace change and adapting communication style to setting. Ability to investigate and Implement alternate approaches to resolve difficult problems.
Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work 25% work hours
Overnight travel will be required 20% of work hours
Valid Driver's license is required
5 years of experience in the Wireless Telecom industry including experience in Cell site power, design, construction management and In Building, Small Cell, DAS, Venue and Head End system design.
Ericsson LTE and ALU base station experience preferred.
B.S.Degree in Management, Engineering, Telecom or related discipline required.
