Functional Responsibilities

This position will have responsibilities for a team Tier 1 Network Engineers that provide Managed Security and Network services to multiple customers supported as part of Government Networks Operations and Security Center (GNOSC) in Ashburn, VA. The Supervisor will be responsible for the staff selection, ongoing growth and mentoring of a team of Tier 1 NOC engineers in a 24x7 operation. Maintenance, development and adherence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support specific organizational and customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and the day-to-day management of network and security incidents and situations. This position requires frequent interaction with the customer program management office (PMO) and the customer representatives to address service enquiries, operational concerns and new service requirements. The Supervisor will be part of the hierarchical escalation path for the GNOSC for customer related issues. This position requires the ability to support an on-call rotation (24x7x7days) to address management level escalations after hours for GNOSC customers.




Minimum Qualifications

Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD SECRET clearance. Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, engineering, computer science and 5-7 years of progressive technical and management training or experience is required. The successful candidate must have previous experience managing data networks with specific performance and service level objectives including security managed services. Management experience in the latest networking technologies and protocols such as MPLS, IPv6 and VoIP, as well as Information Security and related systems (firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems) and processes is required. Experience managing Security Operations or Information Assurance centers supporting federal customers is a major plus. Certification in the field of information security management is a plus. The successful candidate must have an active/ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
