Head of Cloud Sales, Asia Pacific

Responsibilities

You will be the “Strategic Leader” for the Asia Pacific Cloud Sales organization, reporting to the Vice President of Cloud Sales (Global) managing the Asia Pacific (APAC) portfolio in a newly created opportunity within Verizon. 

You will be responsible for leading the most strategic & emerging team of Cloud Sales Managers & Account Directors. You will partner with Verizon Enterprise Account Sales Leadership team in identifying, qualifying and driving to closure Enterprise IT, Data Center, Cloud and Professional Services Solutions across Asia Pacific regions. You will be responsible to drive the Cloud business growth in Asia Pacific region by working closely with US and EMEA counterparts to ensure delivery is in-sync across the globe. 

Responsibilities:         

  • Overall leadership of sales organization; leading, developing, retaining, supporting a team of Sales Solutions Executives to meet all sales and revenue objectives.
  • Working with Verizon Enterprise account sales leadership to help develop and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Map customer's identified business issues to Verizon’s solutions. Identify (Verizon’s or customer's) barriers to sale. Identify and coordinate Verizon internal resources required to develop customer solution.
  • Assist customers in their evaluation of Verizon products and services.
  • Lead the RFP/RFI process to position Verizon. Provide and review sample deliverables and project methodologies.
  • Conduct educational sessions with groups within the customers' organization and Verizon. Manage the proposal and SOW coordination and support.
  • Communicate business direction in the form of measurable objectives, and determine appropriate use of resources to reach goals

Qualifications

  • You should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree qualification
  • You must have more than 15 years of experience in the industry and currently in a Leadership role within Technical sales, Solutions selling, Applications, Virtualization, etc.., managing “Asia Pacific” portfolio with proven track record of closing/managing complex deals (PnL) together with direct people management responsibilities.
  • You must have 3 - 5+ years’ experience managing a direct staff (10 resources) and cross matrix teams in Asia Pacific region.
  • You must be an Expert in Cloud Computing, Professional and Managed Services, and/or IT Solutions practice area within the Enterprise business.
  • You must have experience in coaching and mentoring staff; setting deliverables and overseeing their successful execution
  • You must have thorough understanding of customers’ environments and ability to intelligently and strategically discuss service delivery capabilities as they relate to our services and client needs.
  • You should have experience in closing multi-million dollar managed services, professional services and outsourcing deals in the region
  • You must demonstrate experience in developing C-level relationships - demonstrate business acumen in presenting solutions on an ROI basis, strategies, successful penetration of new accounts, and building successful client relationships across an entire spectrum of buyers, influencers and C-Level decision makers across a broad spectrum of solutions. 

Other Knowledge/Specialized Skills:

  • Strong written and oral skills needed, and ability to work in complex sales environments, utilizing resources across multiple organizations to achieve sales results.
  • Be conversant in Global Service related topics, methodologies, industry trends, and core technologies.
  • Can work independently or with account teams to find solutions to customer's business issues
  • Able to quickly and effectively develop customer ready presentations and proposals
  • Effectively manages communication and administrative activities through the delivery of high quality and informative content to both staff members and upper management
