Responsible for analyzing, recommending, approving, and negotiating customer pricing proposals. Develop opportunity strategy (financial), perform in depth financial modeling & risk analysis, evaluate, recommend, and make decisions on RFP/ contract terms and conditions and establish pricing to ensure margins are aligned with business objectives. Also act as the financial lead in negotiations with customers and with key internal stakeholders

Financial & Business Acumen

  • Perform detailed business case analysis via the ability to independently create a financial model, and recommend, create and approve customer pricing for complex/multi tower proposals
  • Evaluate and analyze based on profitability, competition, market nuances, and account strategy
  • Ensure all costs to support the deal are accurately captured and properly reflected in the financial model
  • Understand the operation of underlying cost models and modify financial model as required
  • Ensure required deliverables are completed in accordance with process guidelines


  • Act as Verizon's lead negotiator and decision maker on assigned deals.
  • Influence or negotiate contracts with internal and external legal teams, customer executives and consultants
  • Understand and quickly analyze the impacts associated with changes to the technical solution and contract terms that are suggested during a negotiation and makes appropriate and well thought-out decisions


  • Prepare and present detailed financial briefings for internal teams as well as internal and customer executive management, including discussion of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics.
  • Manage and lead development of customer pricing sheets/workbooks
  • Create and issue Approval Notes and Pricing Exhibits to the contract


  • Work closely with key stakeholders on custom opportunities to ensure the cost/price proposal is compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable


  • Maintain accuracy of deal financials
  • Ensure adherence with governance processes and obligations;  Comply with other guidelines as appropriate



  • B.S. with advanced degree preferred; combination of Finance or Accounting and MBA education highly desired
  • Minimum 6 years financial analysis, pricing and/or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Economics/Finance/Accounting skills; Proficiency in Financial P&L modeling.
  • Ability to use advanced expertise to resolve diverse/complex problems
  • Matters typically lack precedent or standards; Can receive broad guidance and be accountable for results
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills; ability to make sound business decisions quickly under pressure
  • Superior communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with customers, senior leaders and employees of all levels.
  • Self-motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel;
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Enterprise Telecommunications and IT Infrastructure products/services and value proposition; Solid understanding of the commercial, financial, regulatory and technical aspects of the industry preferred
