This position is critical to the Supply Chain organization to maximize the profitability of the Trade-In program and to support Verizon’s other strategic programs such as 3G to 4G shift, basic to smart phone upgrades, and driving competitor customers to switch to VZW. 

The Sr. Analyst will build financial models and utilize market analysis to drive a strategic approach to the business and implement metrics which are aligned to the business plan.  The Sr. Analyst will have ownership of and accountability for the databases which drive analytics for the Trade-In program.  The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with Finance, Marketing, Reverse Logistics, and Area/Region Leadership and external providers of logistics services to grow EBITDA.


  • Design, implement and manage the pricing database for the Device Trade-In program. Create, adapt and maintain decision flow for each device category or SKU, and ensure that VZW is the leader in the marketplace for device recycle and reuse.
  • Analyze market value of devices, stay current regarding new device launches, device technology changes, and assign a value to each device that will generate trade volume to meet the demand of sideway sales and certified pre-own programs and maximize ROI. 
  • Perform sensitivity analyses, analyze device-value aging trends, market anticipated iconic device launches and seasonal demand fluctuations in bid sales, and adjust trade-in values that results in low trade-in device inventory and high redeployment returns.
  • Work closely with Pre-Pay, eCommerce, B2B, Concession, Training, Sideway sales and to set attractive trade values based on analysis of cost of trade acquisition, device refurbish, BOM, kitting, yield, and seasonal device replacement fluctuations that impact trade volumes.
  • Continued looking for new revenue opportunities.  Evaluate the benefits and risks for separate consumer and B2B catalogs, or expand the trade-in catalog to accept more device types. 
  • Work with Device Marketing to increase OEM funded trade-in promotions.
  • Measure results of the program based on cost, revenue, and volumes.  Track of inventory movement and value, and compliance of all channels. 



  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain is required
  • 5-7 years experience in a position managing supply chain, or finance is preferred
  • Should be considered an expert in using Excel and Access
  • Telecommunications / Consumer goods / Technology business acumen is desired
  • Experience with trade-in programs and device repurposing
  • Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills required
  • Strong analytical skills around business financials required
  • Proficient Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Proven success working in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment across functional teams and geographies
  • Aggressive self-starter, able to independently organize, prioritize, and execute multiple complex assignments and projects and deliver high-quality results
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and drive tactical execution.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills to be able to interact with internal and external audiences at all levels
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent work relationships at all appropriate levels within and outside the company
  • Strong track record of identifying and delivering creative opportunities to achieve business organization goals
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, able to engage and influence team and external partners
  • Proven Project Management Experience
