Senior Financial Planning and Analysis

Responsibilities

- Perform business analysis related to the development of Direct Retail Distribution Strategy
- Develop financial models, make investment recommendations, and present a summary of the analysis to the senior leaders for various distribution related strategic projects 

- Implement, maintain, and enhance store profitability model(s) in support of the distribution strategy
- Utilize Essbase, data warehouse, and other monthly reports as well as work with key stakeholders to gather complex data to prepare clear and concise supporting analysis
- Partner with the National Operations, Area Finance, and Real Estate SPOCs to review and validate model results
- Work with IT to develop and review business requirements to automate as much of the work as possible 

- Generate management reports and provide analysis of financial metrics on a recurring and an ad hoc basis
- Prepare and interpret various financial reports
- Become familiar with the business challenges specific to each Area and Region and incorporate the necessary adjustments in the business analysis and reporting to ensure appropriate reporting
- Respond accurately and in a timely manner to ad hoc retail distribution related reporting and analysis requests
- Convey an in-depth understanding of the various financial systems and data sources

Qualifications

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant financial modeling, budgeting, and/or reporting experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial analysis/modeling
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good writing/editing/interpersonal/organizational skills
- Strong project/program management skills
- Proficiency with Essbase, Hyperion, PeopleSoft GL, and other financial reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and principles of general financial analysis
- Ability to think and work independently and produce accurate and high quality deliverables under significant time constraints
- Ability to work extended hours for critical project deliverables when required 

Desired:
-  3+ years experience in the wireless industry, including good understanding of cellular industry trends and key business drivers
- Knowledge of key database applications (e.g., Microsoft Access, Teradata), SQL, and VBA
- Advanced degrees and/or certifications such as MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or CFA
