The Data Center Service Tower Lead is responsible for program delivery management function by focusing on the Data Center Service Tower. Service Tower management responsibilities are:

  1. Manage the Complex Projects that are delivered using the Methodology described in the customer contract
  2. Deliverables:
    1. Integrated project timelines for the delivery of the Complex Projects
    2. Manage the Project Docket by Service Tower
    3. Accurately estimate the level of effort for architecture and implementation for Complex Projects
    4. Represent the Service Tower in the management of architecture development in conjunction with architecture team
    5. support assessment and implementation of new projects and design impacting PCM request or service desk ticket
    6. Accurate asset inventory and budget forecasting
  3. Participate in Customer Governance Committees as outlined in as requested by the Verizon program delivery manager
  4. Define processes and procedures applicable to the Service Tower and confirm the Verizon operational teams are following the processes and procedures
  5. Document open action items, status reports, and conduct post mortems
  6. Chair Service Tower project team conference calls and develop joint communication activities
  7. Coordinate the Verizon team effort throughout implementation, ensuring on-time delivery of services, which include, but are not limited to, management of order processing, site installation, and site acceptance
  8. Coordinate with the Verizon program delivery manager on implementation of Services
  9. Conduct project close-out meetings to ensure project acceptance


  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Excellent organizational, verbal & written communication, problem solving & presentation skills
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with data centers
  • Familiar with complex, integrated solutions & how they achieve business outcome
  • Experience in Service Management related to network, managed services, CPE, security, applications, hosted/DCS services, IT services, Unified Communications
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • Financial Business acumen
  • 3+ years Project / Program Management experience
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Verizon customer enablement tools
  • ITIL Foundations Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, and Virtualization Certification preferred
