PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for development of detailed plans to implement new or modified products, system conversions, application enhancements, and network changes, and ensure resources are allocated to meet both testing and production timelines. Responsible for management of overlapping projects to ensure implementation of multiple projects from multiple sources and teams to meet parallel implementation dates.
  • Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to implement financial controls within and between the existing wholesale applications, as well as between wholesale systems and interfacing applications to establish end-to-end accountability for revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Wholesale Management, Product Line Managers, Operations and Information Technology to identify business gaps, risks and develop technical resolutions. Develop strategic implementation plan for each product/conversion and manage end-to-end implementation across all wholesale systems.
  • Drive IT architectural changes to implement financial reporting and controls, implement technical solutions to achieve contract compliance for all wholesale customers, drive process efficiencies as well as standardization of controls and critical reference data across applications.
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of the Wireline Wholesale industry, financial governance and controls, and Verizon systems and practices to all projects.
  • Drive an integrated project plan to implement Revenue Assurance controls and direct implementation of initiatives for revenue validation and monitoring, automating processes and minimizing manual intervention.
  • Manage teams that perform testing of new pricing launches, system conversions, application enhancements, network changes, error research and resolution, network element to billing reconciliations and ensuring the completeness of billing data.
  • Ensure compliance to SOX controls and provide attestation to executive management that no deficiencies exist, define key performance indicators, measure performance against those goals and provide monthly updates to Associate Director / Director.

 

  • Serve as subject matter expert for Wholesale products and services and system processes. The Manager must have a comprehensive understanding of VZ Wholesale offerings as well as how they are delivered via system functionality to accurately perform this function. Identify business and system process gaps, define technical and process solutions, and design solutions which allow flexibility to meet future Leadership strategic direction.

 

  • Responsible for Performance Management of RA Special Projects team, including annual objectives & appraisals, employee development, recognition, training and compensation management

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Technology required. MBA or professional certification preferred.

 

  • 5-7 years relevant experience. Progressive, increasing responsibility infinancial disciplines, with demonstrated technical expertise in Wholesale rating and billing preferred. Minimum four years Telecommunications experience. Extensive experience with wholesale rating and billing preferred. Two to three years of supervisory experience required.

 

  • Exceptional technical skills and analytical abilities. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, database query tools, VZ systems, and use of macros are required.

 

  • Demonstrated organizational, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

 

  • This position is highly technical and requires a balance of application technical skills, project management, highly developed analytical skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate conflicts across multiple cross-functional teams.

 

  • Ability to work under pressure, support multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail.

 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision must be self-motivated and highly adaptable to change. Strong project management skills required.

 

  • Ability to work in a team environment with our team as well as other business units.

 

  • This position requires an individual with a strong personal desire to ensure we produce the highest quality product for our customers every day, capable of independent decision-making, with an in-depth knowledge of wholesale networks, rating, billing, and wholesale products.

 

  • Some travel is required.
