Some may view internships as just a summer job, but at Verizon we deliver an experience that gives this group a real life opportunity to be a part of the inner workings of a Fortune 15 company.
Every summer, we invite the best and brightest minds to lend their creative energy, skills and experiences across the company in one of these tech internships. Verizon interns spend their summer working on impactful projects — and their efforts do not go unnoticed. Throughout the 10 week program, we keep an eye out for those who go above and beyond their roles and responsibilities, aiming to hire those we believe will strengthen our V Team.
How did our 2019 interns spend their summer?
This summer, Verizon interns worked across our teams, including Technology, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Verizon Connect. They supported existing projects, while identifying and developing new opportunities for change.
Our interns do work that matters. Here are just a few of their projects:
“My intern team and I performed a review on financial services and developed a revenue forecast for various customer revenue streams.” – Brandon Finke, MBA Intern, Supply Chain
“I worked on a research project in order to assist an attorney with a commercial transaction. I added value by streamlining the process and saving research time for the attorney, so she could rely on my research and focus the negotiations accordingly. ”
– Molly Edgar, Legal Intern
"Working directly with engineers on their biggest projects makes you feel so included that you forget that you're an intern. During my internship I was responsible for developing new features as requested from the user, as well as updating various databases used to manage customers’ accounts and their vehicle tracking units." – Gloris Pina, Software Engineer Intern

Working on many projects, the Verizon interns learned new things while delivering exceptional results. Here’s what they had to say about their overall experience interning at Verizon:
“I love that Verizon entrusts us with a lot of responsibility and freedom. As an intern, it's nice to feel like you’re a valued part of the team, and I have always felt that here at Verizon. I've gotten a lot of great insights that will shape my career decisions moving forward.” - David Roushdy, Global Real Estate Intern
“What did I love most about my internship? The freedom to learn so much about the Smart Cities space; the opportunity to gain skills in corporate finance, strategy, marketing, technology planning, and operations; and knowing that I will potentially have an impact on the business long after I’m gone.” - Riazul Islam, MBA Intern
“I love Verizon's diverse and inclusive culture. Though each person has a different background, everyone is an asset to the company. In addition, everyone is so willing to help. I also love the freedom my partner and I had with the development of our project and the impact it will have once implemented.” - Blake Minter, Finance Operations Intern
