Celstream Chooses Verizon Business to Move Applications to the ‘Cloud’
MUMBAI, India – Celstream Technologies, a rapidly growing product engineering services company in India, has chosen Verizon Computing as a Service (CaaS) to deliver business applications to Celstream’s global users. The on-demand, flexible cloud solution, which is provisioned through a Web-based user interface, will allow the company to better manage IT resources and achieve cost efficiencies, while also benefiting from exceptional performance and security.
Celstream provides product engineering and offshore research and development services to high technology companies in print and publishing, media and entertainment, and consumer electronics. Central to the company’s business model is the ability of its sales and service offices around the globe to quickly and securely deliver new software tools and applications to its global customers.
Celstream was already a Verizon Business customer, using Verizon Private IP to provide a secure, scalable and flexible global communications network to connect its offices and customers around the world. However, the company wanted to further streamline its global business operations to realize cost and management efficiencies, and prepare for further growth. Celstream also wanted to hand off management of its network infrastructure to free up resources to focus on strategic communications needs, and to explore options to enable on-demand downloads from its customers.
It therefore set out to identify a service provider that could combine secure application hosting with flexible service delivery.
It quickly became clear that Verizon’s CaaS offering provided the perfect solution. The service gives extreme flexibility, enabling Celstream to scale computing capacity up or down on demand, according to the company’s business needs. In addition, Verizon Business’ world-class data centre facilities offer a stable, secure and reliable foundation on which Celstream can build its business-critical application-deployment strategy.
Verizon’s CaaS uses a pay-per-use model for daily billing, integrated security, automated provisioning, and integrated storage and backup services to support business continuity. Application availability is backed by Verizon Business’ stringent service level agreements.
Mr. Sriraman, vice president – commercial at Celstream, said, “We’ve taken this project from design to delivery in just a few short months, thanks in no short measure to the commitment and expertise of the Verizon Business team. Our business is all about meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations, and we pride ourselves on the quality of our services. We therefore needed to find a suitable partner who could support our business growth. We are expanding our operations across EMEA and the United States, and we look forward to working with the Verizon team to explore the comprehensive range of solutions they offer. Computing as a Service is just the start.”
John Samuel, president of Verizon Business India, added: “Celstream is a great example of an Indian company that is really making its mark on the global business landscape. Our Computing as a Service solution enables companies such as Celstream to use the fluctuations of daily business life to their advantage. We look forward to helping the Celstream team realize their business objectives now, and in the future.”
CaaS is part of Verizon Business' extensive portfolio of IT and hosting solutions aimed at helping customers of all sizes improve their IT infrastructure and boost application performance in today's complex, dynamic business environment. Supported by a global team of professional services experts that deliver a broad range of world-class capabilities and backed by a secure and reliable technology infrastructure, these solutions allow customers to meet their most pressing IT needs.
