Christina Aguilera joins HopeLine for campaign supporting domestic violence prevention
HopeLine® from Verizon continues its longstanding commitment to generating awareness and preventing domestic violence. Verizon has enlisted the star power of singer Christina Aguilera to help generate widespread awareness for its latest program.
Verizon is now offering consumers an exclusive pre-paid HTC phone bundle, available at Walmart, to support HopeLine and the work of the Joyful Heart Foundation to help survivors heal and transform their lives. Customers who purchase a prepaid HTC Desire 526 will receive a free Jawbone Up Move with purchase ($49 value to customers).
Aguilera spoke to the media about the importance of stopping domestic violence. She has been vocal about her passion for this cause in the past by sharing her personal story through her music.
Verizon’s HopeLine program also recently launched a powerful video aimed at creating awareness around domestic violence. The video calls attention to the critical needs of domestic violence organizations and issues a rally cry for more resources to support victims and survivors.
HopeLine is committed to supporting hundreds of local and national domestic violence organizations on the front lines, including Safe Horizon, WINGS Program, Sojourner Family Peace Center in Milwaukee and the Joyful Heart Foundation, by providing resources and grants to support their initiatives. Verizon also continues its mission to collect 1 million donated phones by the end of 2015.
