We’ve all experienced that moment of panic when we reach for our belongings and realize they're misplaced. Especially important things like our wallet or purse. Our smartphones have a way of communicating with our stuff to tell us where they are, thanks to Tile Slim.

The Tile Slim is a Bluetooth tracker that when paired with its companion smartphone app can help locate your belongings in seconds. And it’s now available for preorder at Verizon for $99.99 for a pack of four. It will be available for purchase online and in stores starting Sept. 8.

How it works

Attach, stick, or place Tile Slim to your things, open the app on your smartphone and begin the search. If the Tile Slim is within the Bluetooth range, it will play a loud 90 decibel melody until you find it. Or check the map for its last known location and time. Reverse roles and use Tile to ring your phone, even if it’s in silent mode.

And because it’s so thin, it can easily fit inside small objects, like a wallet, without adding bulk. Or make it a traveling BFF and stick it in your passport. Few things are worse than that feeling of a lost passport. Tile Slim can be attached to the belongings that matter most to you.

Virtual lost and found

Lost something and out of Bluetooth range? Use the anonymous Tile community to help expand your search. A notification with location gets sent to you as soon as a fellow Tile user comes within range of your misplaced item. It’s essentially the largest lost and found network available to you at any time.
