A new week, and another milestone reached on our path to being first to 5G: the first 5G mobility call. Moving out of the lab and onto the road, Verizon and Nokia successfully handed off a 5G NR signal to a vehicle traveling between two radio sectors.

Plus, we remove all speed cap restrictions for first responders on the West Coast and Hawaii, and announce a new plan that will feature unlimited data, with no caps on mobile solutions and automatically includes priority access.

Also this week, see a cell site on 25 ft. stilts in the path of last year’s Hurricane Harvey and hear from our CTO Kyle Malady with the latest on our network, including machine learning and predictive analytics.
