IDB Systems Signs Contracts Totaling $5.9 Million

IDB Systems Inc., a division of WorldCom Inc., has signed
contracts totaling $5.9 million with three separate Chinese
province offices in Inner Mongolia, Hebei and Heilongjiang of
China.s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPT).

The contracts include two transportable earth
stations for each of the three provinces. This transportable
equipment will be used for disaster recovery, as temporary links
for telephone communications where permanent links are being
installed and for digital television broadcasts from a disaster
site.
