1. Learn new tech skills to add to your résumé.

As a Fios summer field tech,* you'll learn all aspects of how to install Fios in customers' homes, from pole climbing to home installation. By the end of the summer, you'll have a valuable addition to your résumé.

2. Train at Verizon's training center in Leesburg, VA.

Verizon is in Training Magazine's Hall of Fame as one of the best companies for training in the U.S.! All Fios summer field techs will receive training at our center in Leesburg, Virginia.

3. Gain real-world experience helping customers.

Our Fios techs interact directly with customers in their homes, so as a Fios summer field tech you'll gain hands-on customer service experience in addition to tech skills.

4. Get certified in defensive driving.

All Fios summer field techs will receive defensive driving training and certification that can be used to lower car insurance premiums in some cases — and is a valuable skill to have, for future jobs and in general.

5. Be part of the team that keeps the fiber optic network rolling in your community.

As a Fios summer field tech, you'll have a major impact on your community by continuing to deliver on Verizon's promise to keep millions of customers connected in the Virginia and Maryland area.

 

*This is a temporary, summer employment opportunity. Fios summer field techs  must be able to work full-time, 40 hours/week from May 2016 – September 2016, on scheduled tours designated by the collective bargaining agreement and/or the needs of the business.
