NetSec Wins Frost & Sullivan Customer Satisfaction Leadership Award

Award Recognizes NetSec for Extraordinary Responsiveness to Customer Needs and Industry's Highest Customer Retention Rate Since 1998

HERNDON, VA, October 19, 2004 - NetSec, a leading provider of managed security services, announced that it has received the coveted Frost & Sullivan Customer Satisfaction Leadership Award as part of the firm's recent Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) market report. The independent analyst firm presented this award to NetSec for its ability to demonstrate the highest retention rates and contract expansion growth within the managed security services market.

To choose the recipient of this award, the Frost & Sullivan analyst team tracked all industry participants and monitored their customer service methods on an ongoing basis. NetSec was selected based upon extensive research collected from key market participants, secondary and technology sources, and customer interviews. In addition to the methodology described above, there are specific criteria used in determining the final ranking of industry competitors. NetSec was selected for this award based on the following criteria:

  • Customer retention rates
  • Overall business growth
  • Percentage of business growth attributable to existing client base
  • Providing value-added technology and services
  • Monitoring and addressing customer feedback

"Perhaps the most significant metric during the company's rapid growth phase is found in its customer retention rate," said Jason Wright, industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "During the research process, we queried all service providers regarding their customer retention rate and found NetSec to have the highest retention rate since 1998. For approximately tripling the market's 2003 growth rate, for implementing improved risk remediation technology, and for posting the highest customer retention rate for the longest period of time, NetSec is the recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Customer Satisfaction Leadership Award."

The Frost & Sullivan report states that "NetSec has posted some of the highest growth rates of any MSSP in the industry. Revenues in 2003 jumped 134 percent, and the company is on track to double revenues again in 2004. NetSec's growth of existing contracts has spiked in 2003, as new customers that were acquired from the company's entry into the commercial sector deepened and expanded their relationship with the service provider."

The report goes on to highlight the NetSec FiniumTM V platform, stating "this services integration platform imports and correlates an expanded list of data sources including events from security devices, multiple vulnerability feeds, and global threat sources with an organization's asset inventory. The result is a closed-loop service that renders security information relevant to a customer's environment, identifies systems at risk in real-time, and collaborates and prioritizes remediation tasks with the customer. The ultimate effect of this new platform is the measurement and reduction of security risk in real-time within the context of the organization."

"As a trusted security services provider, customer satisfaction is paramount to growth with our current customers and future prospects," said Glenn Hazard , chairman and CEO of NetSec. "An award from an independent analyst firm like Frost & Sullivan validates our philosophy and market leadership position. Maintaining this quality of service will always be our top priority."
