President & CEO of MCI WorldCom's Communications Group Will Resign

The following statement was issued today from MCI WorldCom:
Timothy F. Price, President & CEO of MCI WorldCom's
Communications Group, will be leaving the company early next year. He
will continue as an advisor to MCI WorldCom President & CEO Bernard
J. Ebbers.

"Tim Price has made an enormous contribution to the
communications industry. He was instrumental in MCI's success and
has played a key role in the creation and growth of MCI WorldCom,"
said Ebbers. "I want to thank Tim for his many contributions. We
wish him well."

"My decision to leave MCI WorldCom has been enormously
difficult," said Price. "Bernie Ebbers has built an
outstanding company, which is well-positioned to compete globally and
to provide customers with superior next-generation services. It has
been a privilege and pleasure to work with Bernie. He is a legend in
American business, a superb leader and a good friend."

Price will remain in his current role until February 28th, 2000 to
assist in an orderly transition.
