Morristown, New Jersey Resident Simon Wins Honors From Verizon Wireless

Somerset County resident Betty Simon, director of retail stores for Verizon Wireless, has received the company's President's Award for Excellence which recognizes employees for exceptional teamwork, leadership and outstanding customer service.

Simon was honored for her role in opening over 20 new retail locations last year in the New York Metro area. She and other members of the store operations team planned and managed all aspects of opening the new stores, including leases, construction and merchandising, to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. The new stores created more than 300 sales and customer service positions as well as business opportunities for local building, architectural and real estate firms.

Simon was one of 11 Verizon Wireless employees to receive the President's Award for Excellence.
