Verizon Adds Cartoon Network and Adult Swim HD to the FiOS TV Lineup

Verizon announced on Thursday (Oct. 25) that Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, two top-rated networks that share channel space, are now available in high definition on FiOS TV on Channel 757.  Cartoon Network (broadcast from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.) features the best in original, acquired and classic entertainment for kids and families, while Adult Swim (9 p.m. - 6 a.m.) offers original and acquired animation and live-action comedy for young adults.  Both networks boast Emmy-winning original programming.

Currently celebrating its 20th birthday, Cartoon Network is the No.1 U.S. television network among boys ages 6-11, and Adult Swim is the top late-night destination for young adults ages 18-34.

"We are thrilled to be adding Cartoon Network and Adult Swim HD to our FiOS TV lineup," said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.  "With each network's signature animated and live-action programming tailored to family and young-adult audiences, respectively, our customers will now be able to enjoy their favorite shows in high definition, with the benefit of FiOS TV's amazing picture quality."

Cartoon Network HD offers FiOS TV customers some of the best in animated programming, including "Ben 10 Omniverse," "Adventure Time," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Regular Show," which recently won an Emmy for an outstanding short-form animated program.  Adult Swim's late-night programming features innovative shows like "Black Dynamite," "Metalocalypse," "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "Robot Chicken."  Cartoon Network is already available in standard definition on FiOS TV Channel 257.

Cartoon Network HD joins FiOS TV's broad collection of programming, which offers more than 560 all-digital channels, including more than 145 HD channels, and 40,000 monthly video-on-demand titles.
