Verizon to Maintain Voice and Data Networks for Kaiser Foundation Hospitals

NEW YORK - Verizon, the national communications company formed by the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE, announced that Verizon Select Services Inc. has signed a five-year network maintenance agreement with California-based Kaiser Foundation Hospitals
Under the terms of the agreement, Verizon will perform comprehensive maintenance services for voice and data networks at more than 1,000 Kaiser Permanente administrative, medical office and hospital locations throughout the continental United States and Hawaii. Verizon will provide maintenance program management, service level agreement monitoring and reporting, equipment repair and project support. Kaiser Permanente is the nation's largest not-for-profit HMO, serving more than 8 million members nationwide.
