Verizon Wireless Celebrates Grand Opening of New Red Mills Commons Store
Winter Clothing Drive to Benefit Area Domestic Violence Programs

Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Red Mill Commons Communications store in Virginia Beach Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4.
To mark the occasion, the store will hold a cold-weather clothing drive to benefit Virginia Beach domestic violence outreach programs run by the YWCA, Transitions, Turning Point, and Samaritan House. Gently used coats, hats, gloves, shoes, blankets and scarves will be gratefully accepted and distributed to these organizations. The store will also accept and recycle used wireless phones as part of its HopeLineSM program to benefit local organizations promoting awareness and prevention of domestic violence.
Radio station 96X (WROX) will broadcast from the store Saturday from noon to 2 pm. Station Z104 (WNVZ) will broadcast Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The store will offer refreshments and free giveaways to weekend visitors. In addition, Verizon Wireless will offer a $20 discount on its hands-free combo packs including a universal headset, belt clip and cigarette lighter adapter. The offer will last through Nov. 11 and is available only at the Red Mill Commons location.
The store is located at 1157 Nimmo Parkway, Suite 108 in Virginia Beach. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 1 to 5.
