Verizon Wireless Expands Service Coverage in Eatontown and Ocean Township
December 20, 2001
NEW YORK, NY
Verizon Wireless has expanded service coverage in Monmouth County with a new cell site in Eatontown and one in Ocean Township.
"The new cell sites will provide customers who live in and travel through the area with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Michele White, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in northern New Jersey.
The Eatontown site improves service on sections of the Garden State Parkway, Route 35, Tinton Avenue, Hope Road and Broad Street.
The new site in Ocean Township enhances service on Route 35 from Dow Avenue to Heck Avenue, on Route 18 from exit 12A to exit 10A, and on Deal Road.
The new sites are part of a $4 billion investment program this year to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $300 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
