Verizon Wireless Invites Milwaukee Area Mall Walkers To Become Wireless Phone Talkers
Company Opens Two New Mall Retail Locations
Giving Customers Added Purchasing Convenience
MILWAUKEE (November 1, 2000) -- Because of an increase in activities, life obligations and overall daily chaos, consumers are constantly searching for the most convenient way to accomplish their daily tasks. Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless communications provider in the United States, is looking to help these frenzied individuals, and not just by providing convenient communication solutions through wireless phone use. To give customers added purchasing convenience, Verizon Wireless has opened new kiosks in two of the Milwaukee-area's most frequented malls, Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road in Brookfield, and Southridge Shopping Center, 5300 S. 76th Street in Greenfield.
The kiosks, or inter-mall sales carts, serve as compacted stores that offer the same products and high level of customer sales support as Verizon Wireless' regular stores. The kiosks, however, allow shoppers to take care of their wireless service purchasing needs at the same time they shop for other life necessities like clothing and home goods.
"Convenience is one of the main benefits we offer to our customers," explains Eric Schaefer, general manager-Wisconsin, Verizon Wireless. "Why not make their shopping experience as convenient as our phone usage? By positioning ourselves in the high traffic areas of these two malls, we are giving customers one-stop access to the products needed in their daily lives."
Some of the service and feature packages customers can take advantage of at the new Verizon Wireless kiosks are:
- Mobile Web: The unique wireless Internet service that provides you with your own personalized web site that you can easily access from your handset.
- SingleRateSM Great Lakes: From Minnesota to Michigan - Ohio to Wisconsin, a one-rate price plan for coverage in eight states.
- Digital Choice: One simple rate plan that offers long distance calling coverage from across the street to across the state.
Hours of operation for both locations are from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and from Noon - 5 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, customer sales representatives can be contacted at Brookfield Square, (262) 938-0885, or at Southridge (414) 325-1360.
