In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new store located in the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington. Verizon Wireless now owns and operates four retail stores in Suffolk County.
"Demand for our wireless services is growing steadily, as more people take advantage of digital calling plans like SingleRateSM, our popular Mobile Web services, and [FREEUP], a prepaid wireless service designed for young adults," said Helen Baumgardner, store manager.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Huntington Communications Store is one of 20 new retail locations Verizon Wireless opened in the last 12 months in the New York Metro area to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. The new stores created more than 300 sales and customer service positions as well as business opportunities for local construction, architectural and real estate firms.
