Verizon Wireless Opens First Retail Store in Pearland, Texas
Challenger Elementary School Choir Joins Grand Opening Festivities

Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened its first retail store in Pearland, Texas. The full service store has arrived just in time for the holiday gift-buying season. The store is located at 10223 Broadway, across from Kohl's Department Store at Farm Road 518 and Highway 288.
"The Pearland area is growing rapidly and Verizon Wireless recognized customers' needs for the most up-to-date wireless products. This new store represents our dedication to meet the community's demands," said Katherine Greene, Houston/Gulf Coast region president of Verizon Wireless.
In conjunction with the grand opening of the Pearland store, the Challenger Elementary School choir performed holiday songs at the Verizon Wireless store.
Challenger Elementary Choir Director Veronica Lorine, said, "The kids at Challenger had a fantastic time singing for Verizon Wireless customers and the community."
The store will be open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12-5 p.m. Sunday. The telephone number is 713-436-1037.
Verizon Wireless was the first carrier to launch the fastest national high-speed wireless data network, Express NetworkSM, both locally and nationally. Express Network is available to customers at the new Pearland store and offers wireless Internet access speeds ranging from 40 kbps (dial-up modem speeds) to 60 kbps with data speeds capable of 144 kbps (approaching DSL speeds).
