In response to growing demand for Verizon Wireless' communications products and services, the nation's largest wireless provider has opened its newest retail store at 923 Lloyd Center (near Nordstrom) in Portland. The company now owns and operates 11 Verizon Wireless Communications stores and kiosks employing 72 people throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
As part of the Grand Opening celebration, the first 50 customers who sign up for new service between November 16 and 18 will receive a $35 service credit after activation. Radio stations KUPL-FM and KKRZ-FM will broadcast from the store during the celebration, giving away movie passes and autographed posters signed by the Trail Blazer dancers. The dancers will be at the store to sign autographs on Saturday, November 17, between noon and 2 p.m.
"Wireless communications products and services are becoming more affordable everyday, especially with our current offering," said Tamara Scheetz, manager for the Lloyd Center store. "Customers can take advantage of Verizon Wireless' 3,200 free nights and weekend home airtime minutes per month for life on regional plans (12 western states - no roaming or long distance charges) and regional Family SharePlans. The annual plans have a monthly access fee of $35 or higher. As long as a customer chooses an eligible rate plan, and stays on that plan, he or she will always have 3,200 night and weekend home airtime minutes."
Verizon Wireless retail stores offer a premier line of digital wireless phones, data products and hands-free calling accessories. Customers can check out the latest wireless Internet and two-way text messaging services, including Mobile Web, Mobile MessengerSM and Mobile Office.
The new retail location is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
