In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, will open a new Communications Store in Mechanicsville, VA. The store will open for business on Oct. 4 and will hold its official grand opening on Oct. 25, 26 and 27.
The Mechanicsville store is located at 7264 Mechanicsville Turnpike, and will be open Monday through Friday from 10am to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm.
"Demand for our wireless services continues to grow as more people take advantage of our America's Choice price plans, and our popular data services including Express NetworkSM, MobileWebSM and two-way text messaging," said store manager Kelly Rice.
A native Virginian, Rice previously worked as assistant manager for the Verizon Wireless Communications Stores at Short Pump, Staples Mill and Virginia Center Commons. In her new position, Rice will be responsible for customer service, new sales, employee training, billing and inventory. Rice will be supported by Holly Benson, who was promoted to assistant manager.
